Project Spotlight: Wyola Home

This is a small master bedroom design for a lovely couple in Wyola. Located in a colonial townhome, this is the absolute perfect size for a bedroom. It’s so nice and cozy and leaves the right amount of space for the king bed and a small accent chair. There is a small window that is 6’ from the floor, which the bed fits perfectly under. The other 2 windows are situated at 3’ from the floor leaving lots of natural light to shine through. The door leads to the hallway and the open entry leads to the master walk in closet and bathroom. I wanted to leave this space open for a nice flow.

The couple wanted the room to have a classic feel with traditional touches that were updated. I started by finding the bed, being that it is the focal point in the space. I chose this handsome tufted one from Restoration Hardware in a rich and warm brown tone. The nightstands are a neutral seagrass that add so much texture to the space. I love these sconces being that they are classy and functional. The black and gold finish tie in the other hardware finishes in the room. This comfy channeled chair from Cisco Brothers is simply adorable, I love how understated it is while lending the room so much character. The bench and the dresser are both pieces that help keep the colonial style alive! They loved soft blues which I brought out in the accent pillows and bedding. The deep blue rug helps to anchor the space and will help transform the bedroom into a cozy retreat after a long day.
