Project Spotlight: Boyertown Residence

This was a fun project I did virtually for a sweet couple in need of a master bedroom redo. They wanted updated fabrics and prints, but also wanted to keep their colonial style intact to match their home. I didn’t change anything in terms of their floor plan. Their bed is situated on one end so you can make room for the cozy seating area near the fireplace. I wanted to make sure both areas had comfortable rugs to rest their feet on. They have a roomy walk in closet so there was no need to fill the space up with furniture and instead left them with a comfortable flow throughout the space.

The couple is really into lavender, which is a good thing because I am too right now! We did a neutral base with pops of purple and yellow in the drapery, bedding, and chairs. A modern mix of florals and stripes as well as a combination of seagrass nightstands and shag rugs make this space more current. I am obsessed with this spindle bed from Stickley. It’s such a timeless design and the walnut finish warms the room up! The tufted chairs and acrylic end table blends traditional and modern making this room the perfect oasis for this classic couple. Sweet dreams!
