My Favorite Desks

It’s back to school already and I can’t believe it. While finding the perfect spot for your kid to be productive, why not have a little fun and revamp your own office space? Work and household responsibilities can be daunting, but doing them in a room or on a piece of furniture that makes you happy can make all the difference. These are some of my ultimate favorite desks to choose. A little bit of traditional, a little bit of modern, and a little bit of eclectic, I’ve got it covered. Good luck!

The classic four poster bed will never go out of style in my book, but there has been a recent resurgence of these decorative beds. They come in a mix of styles, which make them a perfect fit for any environment whether it be a lake house or a city penthouse. They are also versatile in numerous materials, some of my favorites being the textural fabric and seagrass. Four poster beds come in varying heights. The higher the ceiling you have, the taller the posts should be. These are timeless furniture pieces that will make you feel like you’re sleeping in a palace. Sweet Dreams!

My Favorite Bar Carts

Cheers my friends and happy hump day! I want to talk about one of my favorite decorative pieces, the bar cart. Their presence in a room says “I like to entertain” and an attractive furniture choice for a dining room or entertainment area like a living room. From young to old, modern to traditional, this piece works for so many households and demographics. Closed cabinets can also store your drinks and are ideal for homes with little ones wanting to touch everything. An open cart really shows off what you have to offer and gives the owner a chance to accessorize. There are plenty of styles to choose from, but I’ve selected a few of my favorites below to share. Here is to a fabulous rest of your week. Bottoms up!

Project Spotlight: Pocopson House (Part 2)

Family Room + Patio

Last week I talked about the master bedroom and breakfast room for the West Chester project. Now I am excited to reveal the last 2 spaces, the family room and patio. I wanted to keep the family room neutral with pops of color and pattern in the accessories like art work, pillows, and rug. My clients love to entertain so I wanted to max out their seating area with a large sectional, ottomans, and even a coffee table that could act as seating if need be. Another thing to check off our list was to make this a baby safe environment. I wanted to eliminate hard sharp edges so I chose round tables and a fabric coffee table for the little one.

My clients wanted a backyard where they could BBQ and entertain. I also wanted to make this a fun area to sit and take in their nice views. I liked how the umbrella reflected all of the pretty colors of the outdoors and drew in the bright blue of the french bistro chairs so that everything was brought together.
